Ghana star Andre Ayew named Marseille's Player of the Month for April

Ghana winger Andre Ayew has been named Olympique Marseille’s Player of the Month for April.

The midfielder polled more than 45% of the votes ahead of Andre-Pierre Gignac (15%) and Mathieu Valbuena (9%).

Ayew scored three goals and provided an assist in the month of April.

The 24-year-old began April with a bang by scoring a hat-trick against Ajaccio at the Stade Velodrome.

A week later, he delivered an assist for the opening goal in Montpellier.

This is the second player of the month award he has picked up at Marseille this season.
