Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says he has decided on his final squad for the 2014 World Cup after the 1-0 defeat to the Netherlands in an international friendly on Saturday.

The Black Stars trainer is set to chop three players off his provisional 26-man squad before flying out to the USA to complete preparations for June’s tournament in Brazil.

Appiah is however facing a complication towards the naming of his squad following an injury to defender Jerry Akaminko on the stroke of full time in the defeat to the Netherlands in Rotterdam.

The ex Ghana captain admitted he was facing serious challenges on who to drop having been impressed by the output of all during his training camp in the Netherlands.

Appiah now insists his mind has been made up after the friendly defeat to the Dutch and will be naming his final squad for the World Cup on Sunday.

“Before the match, I had a headache about which players to drop but after the game, I have my final squad,” he said after the defeat to the Netherlands on Saturday.

“I will name my final squad tomorrow and I know which players will make my final squad.”

The Black Stars coach will be taking the required 23 players for the final leg of his preparations in the USA.

Ghana is scheduled to face Korea Republic in their final friendly match on June 9 before flying into Brazil on June 11.
