Ghana legend Abedi Pele insists the Black Stars have a tough job in their bid to win the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
Many believe the the tournament which starts on January 21 represents the best opportunity for the Black Stars to win its fifth African title due to the absence of traditional heavyweights; Egypt, Cameroon and Nigeria.
And though the ex Ghana captain believes the side wields theà ammunitionà required à to achieve the feat, he says the Black Stars will still have to go the extra mile since their playing against teams motivated to grab the headlines.
ââ¬ËWe have a team that can shine at the tournament, but as for winning it, it will be difficult for us to do so." he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
"I think it is even more dangerous knowing there will be no Egypt, Cameroon and Nigeria.
"The other teams will hungry to prove a point which will make it even more difficult for Ghana."
The Black Stars are drawn in Group D alongside Botswana, Mali and Guinea and will play all its group matches at the Gabonese city of Franceville.
