Commey, who is a former deputy public relations officer of Hearts of Oak during the 2005 season before moving on to join Tarkwa-based side Medeama SC, has bemoaned the unpleasant state of the club.

According to the burly Aduana Stars capo, the only good thing the Phobians can now boast about is their powerful music though he implored the fraternity of the club to join forces to make the club great once again.

"The Hearts of Oak we came to meet and worked for is not the same club anymore because nothing is working," Commey lamented on Happy FM.

"They should sit up and find a way forward on how they can recapture the glory days. The Hearts we came to meet wins trophies but this current group is struggling, nothing is happening for them and it is statement of fact."

"The other day somebody said something on the television that the only thing good left with Hearts of Oak is their music. And it seems to be true because as a Phobian, when I'm standing somewhere and the music is played I get goosebumps but apart from that what else? I sat down and thought deep over it and I agreed with the man because the club is struggling."

"If Hearts of Oak were to be any other club with all their troubles, imagine where they would have been by now, so that's why they have bury their differences and look at the well being of the club rather individual interest."

The Phobians ended last season in 3rd position as well as finishing runners up in the FA Cup competition, where they were trounced 3-1 by bitterest adversaries Asante Kotoko in the final.

The Ghana Premier League giants have gone nine seasons without winning the league.
