Ghana defender Harrison Afful has won his first Tunisian League title at Esperance in his first year at the club.

The left-back has retained his position in the starting line-up late in the season after falling off the pecking order early in the season.

Esperance sealed a 23rd League title over the weekend with two games to spare after their closet challengers Club Africain lost.

The 23-year-old hopes his side makes it to the money zone of the Caf Champions League to win the another silverware.

"I have been celebrating since and that is suppose to spur me on in life. I missed out on winning the Africa Cup of Nations and this will make-up for the loss. I played some key games and that has toughened me," Afful told Ghanasoccernet.com

Esperance have a seven-point advantage with a game in hand and two matches left.
