Ghana youth international Afriyie Acquah made his first appearance on the Palermo bench on Wednesday night, inching closer to his Serie A debut.
Acquah watched with glee as his side beat Juventus 2-1 at the Stadio Renzo Barbera and was on the verge of enjoying a late cameo until captain and striker Fabrizio Miccoli limed off thus affecting the plans of coach Delio Rossi.
The 19-year-old midfielder was promoted from the primavera side (youth team) after the winter break.
He can play as a holding midfielder and on the right flank as well.
Acquah is a member of Ghana's Under-20 team that will be playing at this year's African Youth Championship in Libya.
