Emmanuel Agyemang Badu celebrates his goal in Bursaspor win

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu says he is overly proud of himself and excited for opening his scoring account for Super Lig side Bursaspor in his maiden league game.

The Black Stars midfielder netted his maiden goal for the Green Crocodiles in their 3-2 win over Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig at the Timsah Arena on Saturday evening.

Badu, who joined the Green Crocodiles on loan from Italian club Udinese two weeks ago, lasted the entire duration of the game as he powered his side to a slim victory at home.

Badu fired his side into the lead in the 38th minute after unleashing a powerful drive to the far corner of the post forcing the goalkeeper to crawl.

And Badu could not hold his joy after the goal insisting he is proud of himself.

“It was a very great game and I felt proud of myself and my team mates. They have helped me to settle very well in the team,” Badu told GHANAsoccernet.com

“It feels great to always score in front of massive fans like what I saw here today.”

The combative enforcer added that he expected to provide an assist or score in his maiden game.

“Yes that was one thing I was expecting – either to score or to provide an assist to make everybody happy and thank God for giving me the goal.”

Badu is on loan from Udinese to Bursaspor and could end up making it permanent if he maintains his form for the side.
