Ghana U23 coach names starting line-up to face SA

Ghana Under-23 coach Akwasi Appiah has named a familiar starting line-up to play South Africa this afternoon in their All Africa Games opener.

The squad includes Nania FC's Prince Baffoe who excelled for the second-tier side in the Ghana FA Cup last season.

Also named is the Sports Writers Association of Ghana Premier League Best Player Mumuni Abubakar of New Edubiase United.

Experienced goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has been chosen to as first choice and will be supported by centre-backs Ahmed Adams and Rashid Sumaila.

The Black Meteors are in three-team Group A which also includes hosts Mozambique.

South Africa beat Mozambique 3-1 and need a point to qualify to the semi-final.

The match will be played at 13: 30 GMT.
