Amoah finally set to extend NAC Breda contract

Ghana striker Matthew Amoah has finally agreed on a new contract with Dutch side NAC Breda after an initial deal fell through.

The 29-year-old last month reached an agreement over his contract extension but his agent Kees Ploegsma pulled the plug over the deal over terms of the deal.

But the club and player have now sorted out their differences and now he has to Ghanasoccernet that a three-year contract has been agreed.

Another term of the contract is that NAC Breda will allow the striker to leave the club for a lower transfer fee if he gets a bigger offer after the World Cup.

"It is true that we have finally reached a deal after several weeks of talks and negotiations," Amoah told Ghanasoccernet.com.

"I think I will sign any moment from now because the major clause about the World Cup has been agreed.

"Don't worry everything is in order and I am very happy with the new deal. Ghanasoccernet will be the first to know immediately I pen the deal."

The only thing missing now is the signature of the player, the club and the agent as Amoah must also secure his future before leaving the World Cup.

Amoah has played for NAC Breda since 2007.

He has earlier played for Borussia Dortmund, Vitesse Arnhem and Fortuna Sittard.
