Ghana winger Andre Ayew scored a stunning brace for Olympique Marseille in their 3-0 trouncing of German champions Borussia Dortmund in the Uefa Champions League on Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old set the tone of the game with a classy finish from outside of the box on 20 minutes before converting a 69th minute spot-kick to seal victory.

But his younger brother Jordan Ayew was sent off for yellow card accumulation.

Didier Deschamps' men needed the victory to lift up the pressure from their poor domestic campaign and it was Andre who masterminded the course.

Ayew had two unsuccessful attempts on goal on the 8th and 12th minutes but his third attempt was too intelligent for Roman Weidenfeller, the Dortmund keeper to deal with.

He darted home a drive from outside of the box to the bottom right corner for the opener.

Marseille pressed on to add to the tally and it was Loic Remy who had the doubler. He rattled the net in the 62nd minute to hand Marseille a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Marseille was awarded a penalty after Loic Remy was fouled in the penalty box.

Andre Ayew stepped up and expertly converted the spot kick.

Jordan Ayew who replaced Loic Remy picked a second booking for diving and was sent off.
