Ghana defender Andy Yiadom will join up his Barnsley teammates for the trip to Sheffield United after his purported move to Huddelsfield Town fell through.

The 22-year-old was on the verge of sealing a move to English Premier League side Huddlesfield Town in the ongoing summer transfer window but the deal fell through after talks between the two sides came to a stand still.

Manager of the side Paul Heckingbottom has disclosed that the Ghanaian is back in the team's fold and could be in line to face Sheffield United on Saturday.

“The thing with Huddersfield isn’t moving forward, it’s broken down,” said Heckingbottom.

“He’s back with us and he’s one of our players now. We gave it every possible chance for Yids and for us because obviously we were happy with the finances behind it."

“Rather than being in limbo we’ve called a halt to it and he’s back with us now.”
