Anthony Annan not keen on Schalke return

Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan is not putting much premium on his return to German side Schalke 04 but wants to focus impressing on loan at Vitesse Arnhem.

The 26-year-old pocket-size midfield engineer was declared surplus to requirements at the Veltins Arena prompting his move to the Dutch side in August.

Annan is beginning to a command role at Vitesse by playing ten out of 14 matches but must do more to remain in the Dutch Eredivisie.

He says returning to Gelsenkirchen at the end of the season is not top on his wish list.

"I'm not keen on returning to Schalke now. I want to focus here and build my form and get back to my best. I am concentrating on where I am now." Annan told MTNFootball.com.

Annan is expected to play a key role in Ghana's campaign in January's Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon
