Former Amidaus Professionals coach Anthony Lokko has reiterated his readiness to coach Hearts of Oak ahead of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season.

The Hearts of OaÄ· coaching role is reported to have become available following claims that Frank Nuttal has been relieved off his duty after breaking the club's code of conduct.

And Lokko, who led Amidaus Professionals into top flight league during the 2013 campaign, has thrown his hat into the ring for the supposed vacant job.

"I was aware of their interest sometime ago but then I was undertaking some project work, so I couldn't join them," Lokko told Chaskele on Zylofone FM.

"I'm through with it and I believe I'm in the right frame of mind now to coach the club because it's something we both wanted a long time ago."

"As you know, I've been in this job for quite sometime and if could lead a small team like Berekum Chelsea to play in the Champions League, then I can equally lead a team like Hearts of Oak to the glory land."

"I've also worked with Wellington [Henry] before and he's a colleague, friend and a brother so at least I know the inside out of Hearts if I should join today."
