Anthony Nimo confirms Hearts of Oak departure; eyes Asante Kotoko switch

Hearts of Oak have mutually rescinded the contract of defender Anthony Nimo Asamoah following an unsuccessful first season with the club.

The marauding right back joined the Phobians on a three-year deal from Liberty Professionals as a free agent prior to last term's campaign.

The 24-year-old however, failed to lock down regular playing spot and was deemed as surplus to requirement before the commencement of the 2017/18 season.

The Kumasi-born defender has set his sights on joining any other local club in the ongoing league season including Hearts of Oak sworn adversaries Asante Kotoko.

“My contract with Hearts of Oak have been terminated, so I will not featuring for them this season and I’m hoping to play for a different club in the second half of the season,” Nimo told Koforidua-based radio station Bryt FM

“I am ready to play for any team in the country and will not turn down an offer from Asante Kotoko.”

Nimo made only twelve appearances for the Phobians last season.
