Asante Kotoko defender Henry Ohene Brenya has called time on his 15-year footballing career.

The 32-year-old has officially announced his retirement from the game and he's likely to venture into coaching following the leadership qualities he showed during his playing days with the Porcupine Warriors.

Brenya joined Kotoko in 2008 from Division one side Berekum Arsenal and he won three premier League titles and two FA Cups.

“Yes, it is true I have retired from the game, I have been in the game for some time now, about 15 years and I think I have to leave to allow the young ones get the chance as well,” he told Atinka FM

Brenya has previously featured for Kade Hotspurs and Tano Bofoakwa United.
