Ghana and Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has been assured of more playing time next season with long term injuries Tiago and Augusto.
The midfielder was excused from the international friendlies against the United States and Mexico on the request of the club.
Thomas recently signed a long term deal with the Madrid based club due to his improved performance at both club and national team level.
He is set to return to pre-season next week and will be made the number one midfielder to fill in for Koke next season.
Earlier on last year, Leicester City and Stoke City all in England enquired about his availability.
