Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi will train at the Valdebebas training ground of arch-rivals Real Madrid while on international duty with Argentina, Madrid a source has told ESPN FC.

Argentina take on Spain in a friendly at the Wanda Metropolitano, home of Atletico Madrid, on Tuesday.

Jorge Sampaoli's squad will arrive in the Spanish capital on Saturday afternoon, and Real said they would use the Valdebebas facilities from Saturday until Tuesday.

The Argentina Football Association (AFA), meanwhile, said the team would stay at the Hotel Eurostar Tower in the city, the hotel used by Barcelona when playing in Madrid.

The five-star hotel was built on the site of Real Madrid's former training ground.

Messi is competing with Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo for the Pichichi title as La Liga's leading scorer and has 25 goals, three more than Ronaldo.
