Berekum Chelsea are closing in on  Aduana Stars defender Godfred Saka as they look to freshen up their squad for the Caf Champions League.

The 24-year-old left-back who is seeking a move away from the Dorma-based side  despite having a year left on his contract is expected to complete his transfer to the Berekum-based side later this month.

Dutchman Hans Vander Plyum has turned his attention to strengthening his defence and the impressive player has been identified as the man to help them make a positive impact in the money zone of Africa’s elite inter-club competition.

Saka emerged as Aduana’s top scorer last season with seven goals.

He was also voted the most promising footballer of the 2009/2010 Ghana Premier League season.
