Fifa’s appeals panel has ended Amos Adamu’s quest to remain in football administration by ruling that the disgraced Nigerian must serve a three-year ban, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The decision means the disgraced Nigerian administrator has been booted out of the Fifa Executive Committee as he will not be able to stand for re-election scheduled for later this month in Sudan.

Fifa appeals board rejected Adamu’s quest to return to football after a two-day hearing insisting he will be out of the game for three years.

A source within Fifa told Ghanasoccernet on condition of anonymity : “The case is over and Dr. Amos Adamu will serve the three year ban.

“Some others in the case have had their bans reduced by one year.”

Nigeria will now be represented by Ibrahim Galadima for the Caf elections later this month in Sudan where Africa’s representatives on Fifa’s board will be known.

Adamu was banned from all FIFA duties for three years after The Sunday Times published video showing him requesting $800,000 to build four artificial soccer pitches in Nigeria, and for the money to be paid to him directly.

Also today, the world body will hear d the cases of another Executive Committee member, Raynald Temarii and three FIFA officials Slim Aloulou, Amadou Diakite and Ahongalu Fusimalohi who were suspended after a newspaper sting.

FIFA's ethics panel chairman, Claudio Sulser, said in announcing the sanctions before the 2018 and 2022 World Cup votes that "the damage done to FIFA is very great".
