Asante Kotoko head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has reportedly stepped down following his side's poor form in this season's Ghana Premier League.

The former Ghana U17 coach joined the Porcupine Warriors at the start of the season following the sacking of Englishman Steve Polack.

The Reds had a dream start to the campaign as they picked a draw at Sogakofe Red Bulls Arena against WAFA - a game in which they made history by scoring their first goal at the ground.

However, subsequent games proved hectic for the 23-time league champions.

Coach Fabin tasted his defeat at home against bitterest adversaries Hearts of Oak last Sunday but what broke the camel's back was when the side lost 3-1 to league newcomers Karela FC the following Wednesday.

In the aftermath of the game, coach Fabin stated that his side were lucky to have come out with that scoreline and thanked goalkeeper for keeping the scoreline respectable.
