Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan has described the club's multiple penalty misses against CARA Brazaville on Sunday as a strange occurrence.

Annan described the situation as ''surprising and strange" as he has never experienced such in his football career until last Sunday.

"For me I just couldn't believe it, I was really surprised because I have never seen some in my career since I started playing football, that my team missed three successive spot kicks in a single game", Annan told FOX 97.9 FM.

Asante Kotoko were rewarded with three consistent spots kicks but they strangely blew all away with the fourth in the game going the way of the visitors.

Annan stood tall to deny CARA the opener from the spot before Yakubu Mohammed came from the bench to grab the match winner for the Porcupine Warriors from the 5th penalty of the afternoon.

The strange misses did not only take the entire Kotoko team by surprise but also shocked the young goalie who was hailed by all after saving the penalty from the visitors.

Asante Kotoko will take on the Congolese side in the return leg in a week's time in what could be described a make or break for the Porcupine Warriors.
