Coach Yusif swerves Kotoko, linked with Berekum Arsenals

Negotiations between Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko and Abubakar Yusif have broken-down , GHANAsoccernet.com has learnt.

The ex Hearts of Oak coach was billed to join the Kumasi-based side as assistant coach to Maxwell Konadu but it appears contractual disagreements over certain clauses in his reported two-year deal has led to Abubakar's withdrawal.

One of such clauses which obligates a payment of GH¢100,000 in compensation if the 42-year-old decides to resign but will not be entitled to no such compensation if his appointment is terminated before the contract expires .

Sources close to the coach have however indicated the coach's preparedness to join Kotoko if such disagreements are straightened out.

Meanwhile GHANAsoccernet.com investigations has revealed a simmering interest from fellow Premier League side Berekum Arsenals who are reportedly offering Yusif the head coach position.

Abubakar Yusif is currently a free agent after foll0wing his resignation at Berekum Chelsea after helping them secure the Premier League title as assistant to Orlando Wellington last season.
