Confirmed: Zylofon Cash becomes headline sponsor of Ghana Premier League

Zylofon Cash are the new headline sponsors of the Ghana Premier League after agreeing on a mega five-year deal worth $10 million with the Football Association.

The top flight has over the past three years been without a major sponsor after First Capital Plus Bank, now Capital Bank terminated their five-year contract after just two seasons. The unveiling of the lucrative new deal was done on Thursday.

The 16 Ghana Premier League clubs are expected to receive a $2m annually over the period.

“Zylofon Media has taken the decision to sponsor the league for the next five years. Now, the Ghana Premier League would be called the Zylofon Cash Ghana Premier League,” Zylofon boss Nana Appiah Mensah said.

GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi expressed gratitude to Zylofon Cash, claiming ''The money will go into developing the league, the clubs, management and players welfare,'' '

'They[Zylofon Cash] are not only performing the corporate objective but also contributing to our football,'' '

'The Executive Committee and owners of the clubs have reviewed this sponsorship and appreciate its details.''

Zylofon Cash is a web-based platform which allows creative persons to monetize their artistic talents through uploads of their contents or ideas.

According to the Zylofon Cash website: "If you aspire to be a model, musician, actress, fashion designer, comedian, poet or any act you think you’re good at, all you need to do is to record a video of yourself in any form demonstrating your act, you might be called to participate in any of our projects and if there’s the need to engage the services of individuals that impress our review team, they will be recommended for possible engagement on contractual basis.
