Ghana defender David Addy got a massive confidence boost before joining the Black Stars camp as he scored his first goal in the Portuguese top-flight on Sunday.

Addy, who moved to Portugal two seasons ago is loan to Academica from Porto, had not scored prior to Sunday's game.

But he scored against his permanent employers to establish his credentials ahead of his trip to Kenya for the Black Stars camp.

Porto came from behind to beat Addy's Academica 3-1 on Sunday to extend its unbeaten run to 24 matches and close in on a 25th Portuguese league title.

David Addy put the visitors ahead in the 32nd, but Freddy Guarin's left-footed shot levelled the score for Porto in the 55th.

Porto centre back Maicon headed in a pass from Hulk to put his team ahead in the 63rd, and Silvestre Varela capped Porto's 22nd win this season in the 74th.

The undefeated Porto is 16 points ahead of second-place Benfica, which visits Pacos Ferreira on Monday.

Addy, who is on loan from Porto, punished the league leaders when he broke free to join the attack.
