Ex-international Ebo Mends has quit Ghana Premier League side Berekum Arsenals as head coach after only a season in charge.

Mends led the club to an eighth-placed finish after a chequered campaign in the just ended season.

He resigned on Monday and confirmed his decision to some Berekum-based journalists via text.

Mends signed a two-year contract with the local 'Gunners' before the start of the season.
