Striker Patrick Twumasi scored two goals for FC Astana who thumped Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League Group A on Thursday at home.

The Ghana international got his first on 33 minutes when he converted a spot-kick after Dor Peretz blocked Dmitriy Shomko's free-kick with his hand

Twumasi put the ball low into the left corner and sent goalkeeper Rajković the wrong way too.

He doubled Astana's lead in the 42nd minute.

There was an excellent ball in from the left from Dmitriy Shomko and Twumasi timed his run superbly to blast the ball past Rajković.

DR Congo star Junior Kabananga completed the rout with a brace in five minutes.

Astana are unbeaten in 16 European home matches.
