Hearts of Oak new signing Evans Quao has affirmed his readiness to help the club end their nine-year title drought.

Quao joined the Phobians from bitter adversaries Asante Kotoko as a free agent in the transfer window and says he is ready for the new chapter in his career.

“I am very glad today and excited about this unveiling because it is the first time in my career that I went through such a ceremony. Normally, it does not happen this way,” Quao told accraheartsofoaksc.com

“I'm joining the club that I want to play and because of where I am coming from, I feel this move is a big challenge to me. I am coming to Hearts to face the challenge so the fans should expect more from me.

“Wherever I go, I make sure I win medals and I am eager to win medals with Hearts. If I play and I do not get anything to show for it, I am not happy so this is a challenge and I have accepted it – to help Hearts win the league. I am coming on board with a lot of ambition; I am going to work hard to help the team win laurels.”

“From the first day we came to the training grounds, I was excited with the way I gelled with the players and the team manager and even the fans present. I have not gelled fully with the team but as time goes on, you’d see more than what you are seeing now.”
