Everton eyeing Andre Ayew

Everton are reported to be watching £4million-rated Ghana winger Andre Ayew, the son of former African Player of the Year and Marseille legend Abedi Pele.

Ayew (20) is currently on loan from Marseille with newly promoted Arles Avignon.

He is said to have caught the eyes of David Moyes with his exploits at the Under 20 World Championships in Egypt where he captained the Black Satellites to win gold after beating Brazil to a pulsating penalty shootouts in the final.

His good displays with the Black Stars which has now earned him 18 full caps for Ghana coupled with inspirational performances with Avignon has caught the attention of a lot of top European sides.

Marseille are even reported to have tabled a new deal for the young prodigy but Ayew, who also has his junior brother; Jordan playing for the new French Champions is weighing his options.

He has been named in Ghana’s 30-man provisional World Cup squad which will pitch camp in France from May 24.
