Mohammed Polo concedes Asante Kotoko have the edge going into Sunday’s clash with his former side Hearts of Oak.

The two most supported clubs go head-to-head at the Accra Sports Stadium in a match that determines the club to rule the league table at least ahead of the week eight fixtures.

However with numerous Hearts fans predicting a massive win against their arch rivals, the former Phobian playmaker insists the visitor’s starts as favourites.

“The two teams are doing well in the league and the last time both sides met each other during pre-season, Kotoko won,” he told Takoradi-based Melody FM.

“I as a Hearts man, I will like Hearts to win but Kotoko can play above themselves and win then so be it.

“It is clear Kotoko has the edge but Hearts can surprise them if they don’t take care.”

The big Ghana League derby will kickoff at exactly 15:00GMT on Sunday.
