MLS side New England Revolution are reported to be interested in signing former Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey.

The free agent midfielder was previously linked with another Major League Soccer side Minnesota United this offseason.

Abbey scored 14 goals last season in the Ghana Premier League for Hearts of Oak after flourishing in an attacking midfielder.

At the 2017 WAFU Nations Cup on home soil, he excelled as left back.

If Abbey does land with the Revolution, he would join a midfield that includes Lee Nguyen, Diego Fagundez, Kelyn Rowe and hybrid attackers Teal Bunbury and Krisztian Nemeth.
