Ex-Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey wants midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah to join a stellar European club this summer to realize his full potential.

Asamoah has been in dazzling form for Italian side Udinise this term and has been linked with English giants Arsenal and Serie A outfit Napoli.

But his suitors must be prepared to meet the US$ 25 million dollar price tag on him.

Lamptey, dubbed the next Pele after an exhilirating performance at the 1991 Fifa U-17 World Cup, wants Asamoah to make it to the top.

"It is important for him to know that if he wants to get to the top in Europe, he must play for the top teams and therefore he must cease the opportunity now and play for any of them if they come his way," Lamptey told Citi FM

"He's in his prime now and he is playing one of the best games of his young career and I think he can gain international recognize if joins either AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus or any of the top team in England and any of the big teams in Europe.

"At the moment he has to just work on his agility upfront a bit because sometimes he is too slow but nonetheless he is a fantastic player made for the future."

World Cup-bound Kwadwo Asamoah is expected to play a key role for the Black Stars at the finals.
