Newly promoted English Premier League side Fulham have opened talks with Swansea City for striker Jordan Ayew, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

Ayew was Swansea City's top scorer last season with seven goals, but they were unable to prevent their relegation to the second-tier league.

The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Scottish champions Celtic following his impressive showing for the Swans last term.

However, reports reaching Ghana's leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com indicate that Fulham are leading the chase for the Ghana international and are looking to tie up the deal as early as possible.

According to our sources, the Cottagers have tabled a bid of £8 million for the former Olympique Marseille hitman.

If the deal goes through, Ayew will become the second Ghanaian in the ranks of the London-based outfit after Dennis Odoi, who played an integral role in Slaviša Jokanović side last season.
