WAFA defender Konadu Yaidom has been handed a late call up into Ghana’s national U20 side ahead of their clash with Algeria, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

Yiadom, 18, was handed the late call up following his impressive display in the Ghana Premier League for the Academy Boys in recent times.

The former Tema United defender stepped in for Musah Nuhu who pulled out of the WAFA team during their 5-0 mauling of Dreams FC.

He continued his impressive run in their 2-1 away win over Berekum Chelsea at the Tema Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Yiadom is expected to travel with the team to Algiers where Ghana will lock Horns with Algeria in the 2019 U20 AFCON qualifier.
