Former Ghana goalkeeper Sammy Adjei has lauded Hearts of Oak's effort in signing Burkina Faso goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama.

The Stallions goalkeeper has reportedly join the Phobians on a three-year-contract as a free agent after leaving rivals Asante Kotoko.

"It’s a good move because Soulama is a very good keeper and we all know his qualities. He is energetic and athletic and will push the other keepers in the team to give off their best too," the former Black Stars keeper told Sports Crusader.

Adjei who returned to Hearts three seasons ago but left the club the following season knows the Phobians possess an impressive blend of youth and talent and Soulama's experience will help the side.

"When I look at the likes of Luggard and Kissi, I think it’s a smart move to bring in an experienced keeper who will give them the needed competition."
