Former Inter Allies midfielder Sheriff Deo Mohammed believes neutrals would not be surprised to see Liberty Professionals relegated this season after their underwhelming campaign.

The Dansoman-based side has had a difficult season in the Ghana Premier League and they are sitting on 12th position with 38 points, one point above the drop zone with a game to end the season.

The Scientific Soccer lads will host 4th place side Asante Kotoko in the last match of the campaign and only a win will guarantee their safety.

And Deo has pulled no punches in saying what he thinks of the club's form and where their destiny.

"I would not be surprised should they drop out because it's been coming for a long time after flirting with it for the past three seasons,” Deo told Happy FM.

“It wouldn't be a surprise to any follower of the league hence it won't be news. Liberty has not been relegated before since they joined the league, so maybe they need it to be reformed.”

“If you are a big club and you fail to put your house in order you’ll definitely face consequences. This is a league and every team has equal chance of staying or dropping out but when you don't work well you deserve to go.”
