Ghana international Francis Dickoh is almost set to leave Scottish side Hibernian after his agent claimed the club could not meet the defender's wage demands.

The 27-year-old Denmark-born flourished with the Scottish side after he joined them from Dutch top flight side FC Utrecht in August 2010.

The centre-back was tipped to be handed a permanent deal at the club following his superlative displays at Easter road where he made 31 appearances for the club and convinced manager Colin Calderwood to open negotiations over a new deal.

But his agent Michael Johansen indicated those talks are all over, saying: "Francis has been very happy at Hibs but he also needs to look at the financial situation.''

"He took a pay cut to go to Hibs and the issue for him is the salary. We've talked to the people at Hibs. They are looking after the club and not doing anything stupid financially. It's going to be difficult for Hibs to come up with the right offer."
