Free agent striker Gilbert Fiamenyo set for sensational return to Hearts of Oak

Former Hearts of Oak striker Gilbert Fiamenyo is set for a shocking return to the club, two years after leaving under bitter circumstances. 

The bulky forward has been training with the Ghanaian giants on Thursday to fuel reports about his imminent return to the side.

Fiamenyo is a free agent after leaving Kenyan side AFC Leopards and has been searching for a new club.

But it appears he could stage a sensational return to the club he left in 2015 in what could split heads in club.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs attacker left Phobians under controversial circumstances but appears to have short of offers at the moment.

It's unclear if he training to keep fit but widespread media reports in Ghana are suggesting he could be 'smuggled' back into the club.

Hearts of Oak are desperate to find replacements and quick after losing several key players at the end of the season.

And it appears the former African champions are pressing the panic button with the potential re-capture of the bulky striker.

Fiamenyo is believed to be a close ally to club owner Togbe Afede XIV.
