Gambia FA boss lures West Africa votes for Nyantakyi

The president of the Gambia Football Association Seedy Kinteh is touring the sub-region luring votes for the Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi ahead of this month's Caf Executive Committee elections in Sudan.

Kwesi Nyantakyi, who faces stiff competition against representatives from Benin, Niger and Togo for a single West African Zone B slot, has made the Gambia FA president his campaign manager.

Kinteh, who claims the Ghana FA boss has paid his dues in football administration to be awarded by the delegates, last week visited Dakar, Senegal to hold talks with the Senegalese FA president before proceeding to Mali and Burkina Faso to drum more support for his candidate.

The elections will take place at the Caf 33rd Ordinary General Assembly on 23 February in Khartoum before the CHAN finals.
