Ghana assistant coach Appiah on Manchester City attachment

Published on: 17 January 2011

Ghana assistant coach Akwasi Appiah will start an attachment with the technical team of English side Manchester City on Monday.

The Black Stars assistant coach is expected to spend at least two weeks with the English Premier League side.

Appiah will work with coach Mancini as he wants to be abreast with the latest coaching trends.

He will also observe how the English big-spenders prepare their team ahead of matches.

The attachment has been put together by Tom Vernon, the country manager of the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana.

Right to Dream has a strong working relationship with Manchester City as two players from the academy have been observed by the club.

CK Akonnor spent some time at Manchester City last year as part of a deal brokered by Right to Dream Academy.
