Blackpool's new signing Joe Dodoo has vowed to bring a winning mentality to the side.

Dodoo, 22, has been snapped up on a season long loan from Rangers.

And he hopes to bring the winning mentality to the League One club.

When asked about his time at Rangers, Dodoo said: “It has been really good.

“It’s a demanding place, where you have to win, but that’s the same for all the clubs I’ve been at.

“I’m hoping to bring the same feeling and mentality here to win things and achieve great things with the club.

“Getting the deal wrapped up early gives me the chance to play the whole season.”

The Ghana-born former England Under-18 international hopes to make 40 appearances this season and said: “Every player wants to play every game and it’s definitely important for me.

“But most importantly I want to win.

“I know the manager and the players will be feeling exactly the same, so I’m looking forward to it.”

The attacker, who still has two seasons left on his Ibrox contract, has League One experience from a short stint at Bury in 2015 and a longer loan spell at Charlton Athletic last season, when he scored twice in eight games.

Of his latest move, he added: “I’m delighted to be here. I spoke to the manager and he told me what he’s trying to achieve this season, and I like the sound of it.

“It’s a good club and I can’t wait to get started and playing. “It’s brilliant because we can get started from pre-season to build a solid foundation towards what we’re trying to achieve this season.

“If you get to know the players and the staff early on, that makes it easier in the long run in the sense of it being a season-long loan.”
