Centre-back Awal Mohammed believes he is ready to replicate his performance against Togo for this monthââ¬â¢s double AFCON qualifier.
The Maritzburg United defender earned rave reviews when handed a starting role in the absence of injured John Boye in the 3-2 win against Togo in Lome.
Mohammed formed a formidable partnership with Jonathan Mensah which helped blunt Togo captain Emmanuel Adebayor.
The ex-Kotoko defender is now aware that more will be expected of him in the game against Guinea and says he is ready to meet heightened expectations.
ââ¬ÅI know that there will be expectation on me but if you have followed my career you will release I excel when expectations are on me,â⬠Awal told GHANASoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅI will do my best given the opportunity.
ââ¬ÅAt the end of the day the most important thing is that Ghana gets all the three important points.ââ¬
