Leicester City manager Claude Puel has confirmed that Ghana defender Daniel Amartey has resumed training after recovering from a hamstring injury which has kept him out for a month.

The former FC Copenhagen defender sustained an injury in the 20 minutes of the Foxes Premier League xxx win against AFC Bournemouth last month.

“Amartey came back today in the training sessions, but it is not enough time to be available,” Puel said in a press conference on Wednesday.

Amartey, after a slow start to the season under manager Claude Puel, has gradually grown into the plans of the manager, managing seven appearances for the side at the turn of the year before the injury.

The 23 year old joined Leicester in January 2016 and was part of the team that won the Premier League later that year.
