Defender Harrison Afful received a straight red in Columbus Crew's 1-1 draw at Orlando City FC in Major League Soccer on Saturday.
The Ghana international right back was sent off on the 77th minute mark for violent conduct.
Afful, 31, was playing his second match after a recent injury.
He was making his 17th league appearance for the Blood and Gold.
