The Ghana Football Association says the decision to play this month’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea in Tamale forms part of their rotational policy.

It has been suggested that the hostile reception by fans in Kumasi during last month’s match against Uganda forced the Ghana FA to look elsewhere.

But President of the Ghana FA Kwesi Nyantakyi has dispelled that.

“Not at all, it is not because of the rejection in Kumasi, it is a rotational policy and we want to stick to that,” Nyantakyi said.

“The Kumasi rejection was like a pinch on the players. Togo was even friendlier than Kumasi. Some even suggested we play our home matches in Togo but home is home.

“It doesn’t mean we have abandoned the Kumasi stadium forever.”
