The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has rejected reports that Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho will be part of Ghana's coaching team at the World Cup in June.

A report carried by the state-owned newspaper, the Graphic Sports on Friday claimed that the Portuguese had reached a deal to be paprt of the Black Stars coaching staff for US$1m.

The report was carried even though the GFA still has Serbian Milovan Rajevac in charge as he is currently monitoring his players in Europe ahead of naming his squad.

The GFA has swiftly rebuffed the report insisting they have full confidence in the Serbian who too Ghana's injury-hit side to reach the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.

“These publications should be disregarded in the first place. The source of the agreement remains unknown to us (Ghana Football Association),” the GFA spokesman Randy Abbey said.

“We are going to the World Cup with Milovan Rajevac, whom the FA has faith in.

“We have lots of respect for Jose Mourinho likewise we have for Rajevac, a wonderful coach who is out there doing his job ahead of the World Cup.

“Ghana’s plans to the World Cup does not include Mourinho and no such decision has been taken to call on any technical person for assistance,” he said.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan official, Andrea Butti has also rubbished the report insisting they still have a valid contract with the Portuguese manager.

Butti had a telephone conversation with the Ghana FA boss on Friday to ascertain the veracity of the report insisting Inter Milan have a valid contract with the coach.
