Ghana midfielder Isaac Sackey was spectacular for Alanyaspor in their 3-1 defeat to Kasimpasa in the opening day of the 2017/18 Turkish SuperLiga season at the Alanya Oba Stadium on Saturday.

The 23-year-old, who earned his debut call-up to the Black Stars last month in the team's 2018 AFCON qualifiers against the Walias of Ethiopia and the friendly games against Mexico and USA, continued from where he left off last season in the match against Kasimpasa but could not prevent his from going down 3-1.

Sackey was replaced by Turkish midfielder Cenk Alkilic in the 63rd minute after the game appeared to have been lost.

Meanwhile, his compatriot Bernard Mensah, who joined Kasimpasa two weeks ago on loan from Spanish giants Atletico Madrid last month, made a cameo appearance as he replaced Markus Neumayr to help shore up the defense with twelve minutes to play.

Goals from Egyptian midfielder Mahmoud Trezguet, Markus Neumayr and Emem Eduok while Emre Akbaba got the consolation for the host.
