Ghana Premier League Preview: WAFA vs Wa All Stars- Academy Boys target win to keep faint hopes alive
WAFA

WAFA SC will try to get back on the right track after their extremely poor run of six matches against Wa All Stars at the Sogakope park on Sunday

They have amassed just 4 points from a possible 18 which has seen them sit behind the league leaders with a 4 points gap.

The Academy lads are playing in front of their fans and another negative result will heavily disappoint them considering that Aduana Stars will be crowned champions if they win their fixture.

The home side come after a 1-0 defeat  against Aduana Stars on Wednesday and really need a morale boosting performance.

Mohammed Aminu, Richard Danso, Michael Acquaye and Komlan Agbegniadan remain out due to international assignments.

Daniel Lomotey Agbloe is also ruled out of Sunday's fixture due to an injury.

Wa All Stars will fight to remain in the top 6 of the league. They  have a good level of confidence considering the fact that they came from behind to beat Hearts of Oak 2-1 last Wednesday.

Besides this, they are in a decent form since Alhaji Mumuni Sokpari took over as the caretaker coach.

The Northern Blues are undefeated in their last six premier league matches.

They will travel to the Volta region without defender Nicholas Mensah and attackers Maxwell Baakoh and Alex Ofosu Acheampong.

A win for the Northerners will mean WAFA SC will lose at home for the first time in two after 42 matches.
