Ghana striker Matthew Amoah says he is likely to leave Dutch side NAC Breda because of the huge financial problems at the club.
The 30-year-old, who is one of the club’s highest paid players, says he wants to leave for another country after spending 12 years in Holland.
Amoah has a contract with NAC until 2013 and he is now in his fourth season.
NAC are on the brink of administration after huge financial problems as club owners have struggled to pay players this season.
Amoah says he likely to leave after this season because he costs too much money.
"It is true that at the moment I'm a bit expensive for NAC," Amoah said.
"I have a clause in my contract that will allow me to leave for a limited transfer fee for the club.
"I can imagine it is good for the club as I'm leaving after this season. They can cash in any case very well.
“Furthermore, I am ambitious, though I do not know if there are big clubs wanting to sign Amoah.
“I've always and really enjoyed my stay in the Netherlands, but I could well be in a warm country to play football. "
Amoah started his career in Holland in 1998 when he signed for Fortuna Sittard.
He had a short but unsuccessful spell in Germany with giants Borussia Dortmund.
