Ghana winger Abeyie set to complete Spanish move

Ghana midfielder Quincy Owusu Abeyie will sign a contract with Spanish top flight club Malaga on Thursday, Ghanasoccernet can exclusively reveal.

Abeyie arrived in Spain on Wednesday to have a medical with the club who are seeking to be one of the giants in the Spanish league in the upcoming season.

The Ghana intertnational passed his medical after he arriving in the country with his British agent Leon Callendar

He is expected to seal a three-year contract if they agree to the terms tabled by Malaga.

Abeyie's move to Spain has shocked the football world because he was expected to return to Qatari side Al Sadd after joining them months before the World Cup.

But after failing to impress the Qataris after just two matches they were eager to release him to Malaga on the cheap.

The move to Spain will allow the winger to return to the limelight as he has recently been on the fringes of the Black Stars starting team.

But the number of clubs he hwas played for keeps on growing, having already played in England, Holland, Russia, Spain and Qatar.

He has already played for Ajax, Arsenal, Cardiff, Birmingham, Spartak Moscow and Portsmouth.

Abeyie knows Spanish football very well having played for Celta Vigo in the 2007-08 season.
