Ghana youth defender Patrick Asmah could end his temporary stay with Italian Serie B side Salernitana in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.
The 21-year-old left back joined Salernitana on a season long loan from Italian Serie A Atalanta at the start of the season to continue his development.
According to TMW, the defender could cut his loan stint and head back to Atalanta in the January transfer window after struggling to churn out playing minutes for the side.
The report indicate that Serie C club Lecce have expressed keen interest in taking him for the remainder of the season.
Asmah spent last season on loan at another Serie B Avellino where he made 16 appearances.
